What Makes Us Unique?

Overachievers begins with a unique approach that sets us apart from other tutors.  Our three step process is described below.

1. Skills Assessment:  In order to get to know the students strengths and weaknesses, Overachievers gathers information from parents, teachers, and the student.  Learning begins by identifying your child's specific tutoring needs with a Skills Assessment. We use the information from the Skills Assessment to establish a baseline to measure progress and determine goals to ensure academic success.

2. Individual Tutoring Attention:  We work with each child individually, so your child receives focused and specific attention.  To ensure true understanding, we use a method of instruction called mastery learning.  Students are taught to master a skill before they move on to the next level or skill.

3. Progress Updates:  We will keep you updated on your child’s progress each step of the way by debriefing after each session. In some cases, your child will receive homework to reinforce skills taught during the tutoring session.  If requested, written weekly feedback can be provided for a nominal fee.
